Christopher Lucas, Proprietor
Christopher Lucas started his career in news production at KOBI-TV (NBC) in Medford Oregon. He subsequently worked in industrial and independent film, and fringe theater in and around Seattle, Washington. After moving to Austin, Texas, he completed a graduate degree in the Radio-TV-Film program at the University of Texas. In 2013-14, he produced Fiege Films' Above All Else, which premiered at SXSW, has played all over the world and is now available on Netflix, Amazon and other streaming outlets. He has worked on numerous commercial projects as writer, director, or producer, most recently helping complete the gallery short Wake Up Dead Men, celebrating the work of photographer Bruce Jackson, and currently on the production teams of two feature documentary projects, The Sensitives, on people living with multiple chemical sensitivity, and Speak For Me, a film about the fight for reproductive rights in Texas. He was also a writer and researcher on Living Springs, an interactive environmental documentary about Barton Springs in Austin, Texas. In 2011, he was awarded a doctorate in media studies from the University of Texas, where he also co-founded Flowtv.org, an online forum for media criticism. He holds an appointment as Visiting Professor of film and new media at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
